E-Governance is an important objective of the Mumbai Agricultural Products Market Committee. The Agricultural Products Market Committee has been using integrated software for a long time, such as arrivals, market fee assessment, invoices etc. (since 1994). The work of developing a new web based computer system is in progress.
The computers and related equipment of the Agricultural Products Market Committee were purchased between 2003 and 2004, hence the given system is old. The current programming software of the Agricultural Products Market Committee was developed in 1987 to 1994 in an old programming language. It has been decided to implement new programming software for the implementation of the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) e-NAM, e-tendering system and e-marketing system.
The Mumbai Agricultural Products Market Committee is using the GOI e-NAM portal for the Onion Potato Market in the first phase. A dedicated leased line has been hired for this.

Small Kisan Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is the lead agency for the implementation of e-NAM under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Vision to promote uniformity in the agricultural marketing sector by streamlining the processes in integrated markets, bridging the information gap between buyers and sellers and promoting real-time price discovery based on actual demand and supply. Mission: To facilitate trade in agricultural produce across India by integrating APMCs across the country through an online platform, providing fair price discovery through a transparent auction process based on the quality of the produce along with timely online payments.
In the 'Clean Office Competition' organized by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation under the National Cleanliness Programme, Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee secured third place in the Government Offices category.
A special week for cleanliness was organised from 2/5/2017 to 8/5/2017 by the Agricultural Product Market Committee with the help of the Adate, Mathadi, Mapadi, traders and drivers.
During this week, the area around the market committee including the main roads, paths, footpaths, ups and downs, common paths and common toilets were cleaned. Wherever jet spray machines were required, cleaning was done by jet spray.
Around 375 to 400 tonnes of waste was collected and sent to the dumping yard of the Municipal Corporation during this week.
As a part of balancing geographical environment at National and International Level ,33% of Geographical area has to be covered with trees. So that according to inspection there is 20% tree plantation ratio around market committee.
According to government of Maharashtra scheme In the surrounding yard of APMC with cooperation of various social societies APMC has taken decision of 10,000 to 15,000 tree plantation.
